Whoo hoo! Zippered pouch

YES!!! I finally made a zippered pouch. I don't think my MIL's Galaxy II Tablet will fit in there, but I'm gonna send it to her anyway. I'm so excited! And without further ado... here it is:

I made it.

I love the V & Co Simply Color fabrics.

Lining is a cheapo fabric I got at Big Lots, i think.

So, I finally figured out the whole turning thing and the next zipper project I make I will use a zipper foot. I thought that I had one from my Grandma's sewing kit that she gave me. There was a foot that I thought was a zipper foot and I tried to use it, but it's either too old, or just doesn't quite work with my machine, or it's not really a zipper foot. I ended up using my regular presser foot and it worked fine.  Thanks for all the wonderful encouragement from the blogging world. I feel great right now. I'm off to dance class with my hubby.

  1. Congrats! From now on, you will have made this, so even if zippers still make you nervous, you will know you have done it (or something.) I don't have a zipper foot, I have managed with my regular foot and it has been fine...if you do try a zipper foot, I hope you will write about whether you think it is worth it or not.
